Are you ready for collectible Twilight Dolls? Yes? Not so fast. You might change your mind after you check the price tag. Robert Tonner has produced the first Bella and Edward dolls which are hand-painted, feature rooted saran hair, and even have moving joints so you can change their pose into a vampiristic crouch when the mood strikes you.  The dolls come with interchangeable clothes, shoes, and coats. They’re adorable, but they will set you back $140 each when they go on sale this Spring.

The Edward doll does look a lot more than Rob P than the Bella doll, but then again, that may be a good thing.

‘New Moon’ Soundtrack to be more experimental

paramore2I can’t stop listening to the Twilight soundtrack, can you? The music for the soundtrack was handpicked by the talented Alexandra Patsavas who has been the music supervisor  for TV shows like The O.C., Roswell, and Chuck, so it’s no wonder the music is very dreamy, and original. Answer Bitch over at E! Online says Patsavas will also be in charge of selecting music for New Moon, except this time she may be taking a more experimental direction to please new Director Chris Weitz. Apparently, he wants to up the ante in the next soundtrack to set the mood for the flick.  Sounds ominous.

From the article:

“I think that might be the way it’s going,” says Marisa Baldi, West Coast partner for Zync, a music brokerage that funneled two songs onto the Twilight soundtrack. “I get the vibe that the guy is a little more into being surprised…everything is really open, and he wants to hear a lot of cool music.”

Hmmm, what songs do you think should be included in the New Moon Soundtrack?  I hope Stephenie Meyer offers them some input on this one. She seems to have a good grasp on new music, and I love the way she talks about being inspired by it when she writes for a character.  Below is her “New Moon” playlist:

From Stephenie’s Site:

Note: this loosely follows the story sequence. I’m going to put a B, E, or J after each song, so you’ll know who’s perspective I’m hearing it from (that might help you categorize them into where they fit in the novel). Mostly B’s of course, since she’s telling the story.)

  • “Do you realize?” - The Flaming Lips (B)
  • “Papercut” - Linkin Park (B)
  • “Hyper Music” - Muse (B)
  • “Apocalypse Please” - Muse (B)

  • “Going Under” - Evanescence (B)
  • “Tautou” - Brand New (B)
  • “Be My Escape” - Relient K (B)
  • “Never Let You Down” - Verve Pipe (J)
  • “Sing For Absolution” - Muse (E)
  • “Ya Mamma” - Fatboy Slim (Generic action-scene music)
  • “D.O.A.” - Foo Fighters

  • “Memory” - Sugarcult (B)
  • “The Truth About Heaven” - Armor For Sleep (B)

Cullen’s Lair: Breathtaking house in the woods

When you read the Twilight, most of the meetings between Bella and Edward take place in Bella’s room, but he eventually takes her to meet his adoptive family and you can’t help but be taken away by the way the Cullens live in their grandiose house in the forest. By the time you read Breaking Dawn, a lot of important events take place in the Cullen’s lair, but I won’t give anything away. At one point even Bella gasps as she’s taking the tour and Edward takes notice.

Edward: “What did you expect? Coffins, and dungeons and moats?”
Bella: “Um..not the moats.”

The Design Tavern did a little research, and discovered that this amazing architectural wonder was designed by Jeff Kovel via Skylab Architecture so here are a few pics of the Cullen’s mansion in the woods:architecthouse1

The inside of the house is just as amazing. Apartment Therapy has a few suggestions on how to recreate the Cullen’s look in your house. Check out the pics:
