Wear Red to Celebrate Edward Cullen
Remember that chapter in New Moon when Alice and Bella are looking for Edward in Italy, before you know, he goes on a sparkling rampage? Well that day was March 19, which was supposedly the day when St. Marcus rid Volterra of all vampires. If you remember, the crowd was honoring this day by wearing red (representing blood), and so the Examiner is now calling for fans to wear red to remind us Twihard fans of Edward’s near-death experience. Here’s the bit about the significance of March 19:
In Stephenie Meyer’s New Moon, March 19th was a date of some significance - St. Marcus Day, the day when St. Marcus supposedly rid the Italian city of Volterra of all vampires (though secretly allowed for the Volturi vampires to hide out in the city without curiosity). The town of Volterra teemed with red as Bella and Alice raced through the streets to get to the would-be self-sacrificing Edward Cullen.
In honor of this intricate but important detail to the New Moon novel that we fan would like to see on screen, and to show your support for a faithful book-to-film translation of New Moon by Chris Weitz (one which would have Robert Pattinson amidst a sea of garnet and red celebrants of St. Marcus Day, with Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene, as Bella Swan and Alice Cullen, fighting against this sea of red to make it to Edward before the clock strikes twelve) wear something red this Thursday, March 19th.
Will you be wearing red?

I’ve been wondering what Jacob’s house will look like in New Moon. I remember from reading the book, that Jacob’s house always sounded unusually small, almost like a one bedroom shack. Well, one fan in Vancouver has captured what appears to be Jacob’s house . In the clip below you’ll catch a glimpse of Jacob’s rabbit, the shed, and his house. Not sure how legit this video is, but it seems spot on, except for the blue rabbit. Isn’t it supposed to be red? Via Twilight Lexicon

Rumor: Madonna to be involved with New Moon?

Ryan Seacrest has reported that Guy Oseary, Madonna’s business partner is producing New Moon. Rumor has it that she will be involved both in the movie as well as on the soundtrack. Her doing a song for the soundtrack could be really cool — especially if its in the same vein as her Ray of Light album. Although adding her to the movie? All we need now is Paris Hilton and Mariah Carey to get New Moon a razzie award for sure!
If she doesn’t pen original music for the film, here are some Madonna songs that could work for the New Moon Soundtrack:
- Skin - Ray of Light
- Nothing Really Matters - Ray of Light
- Forbidden Love - Confessions On A Dance Floor
- Love Profusion - American Life
